New Partnership Offers Comprehensive Service in Workplace Safety

By Charlene Patton | September 20, 2023

Following the successful collaborative effort in providing security and safety to all in attendance at the 2023 CFL Touchdown Atlantic game, a strategic partnership between Buckingham Inc. and Commissionaires Nova Scotia seemed a natural fit.

“I am thrilled to partner with Commissionaires Nova Scotia. At Buckingham, our focus is to provide exemplary independent workplace conflict and complex business investigative services throughout Canada,” said Rod Buckingham, CEO & Founder of Buckingham.

“By partnering with Commissionaires Nova Scotia, we can now refer our clients to Nova Scotia’s premier security provider for additional services.”

Buckingham Inc.’s specialized service in workplace conflict and business investigations along with security and background screening provided by Commissionaires Nova Scotia will allow them to offer companies throughout Nova Scotia a comprehensive suite of security services.

“It became evident to me that Buckingham is a force multiplier when it comes to security,” said Barry Pitcher, CEO of Commissionaires Nova Scotia.

“By teaming up, we can leverage our collective strengths and resources to unlock opportunities that we wouldn’t be able to handle on our own. Ultimately, this is great news for our respective clients and the industry that we both serve.”

The two organizations, while remaining independent, can work jointly in instances where their clients would benefit from a complete workplace safety package that encompasses all aspects of security and investigative solutions.

Did you know: The Commissionaires is Canada’s largest private sector employer of veterans and the only national not-for-profit security company? Its origins date back to 1859 England where The Corps of Commissionaires was founded to support veterans in their difficult transition back to civilian life and employment. This inspired the Canadian Corp of Commissionaires subsequently founded in 1925 to help reacclimate Canadian soldiers returning from their service in the First World War. Today, The Commissionaires employs over 22,000 people across the country. They provide varied security services that protect the people, property and information of federal, provincial, civic and private sector businesses and homes.
